So basically Andy Warhol just rolled over in his grave and made everyone watching pay him $50. What a perfect circle! Apple accessory maker Incase has released their newest collaboration with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. The collection is pretty extensive, running the gambit on products and artwork. The range covers cases, sleeves and bags for the iPhone, iPad and MacBooks.
The thing that really got me hooked on this collaboration is the art that was chosen. From Warhol’s late-era Camouflage and the Banana screen print created in 1966, which also appeared on the cover of The Velvet Underground and Nico’s self-titled debut album. The 1964 Flowers print, the 1982 Dollar Signs, a wry commentary on art as a consumer item, oh how ironic, and a colourful cow portrait taken from his 1966 Cow Wallpaper
Select pieces of the Incase for Andy Warhol series are available today at the Incase online store, with the rest of the collection coming soon.
