If TV shows like Mad Men and Suits have taught us anything, it’s that there’s no better way to unwind after a work day than a well crafted cocktail, and last week we had the pleasure of experiencing Toronto’s latest hot spot, Cocktail Parlor at STORYS Building.
Brought to you by the same folks behind Patria and Weslodge (Ink & Icon Legacy), Cocktail Parlor is set to launch a new series this Thursday, targeted at fashionable gentlemen who might walk Bay Street by day but crave more than a long commute home to the suburbs in the evening.
Their first ever gentleman’s guide series, entitled SHAKEN, will centre on the art of the perfect cocktail, which is an essential skill every modern-day gentlemen should master if they have not. Through in-house tutorials, head mixologist Wes Galloway will show guests tips and tricks on perfecting a cocktail, while Chef Stuart Cameron offers delicious food pairings to match.
The tutorial series will continue into the fall with VELVET, TWEED, and STIRRED, which will cover everything from fashion, grooming, and of course drinking etiquette (which I think we all could use a reminder of).
