In todays style feature we decided to camp out in Honest Ed’s famous alley to capture a black on black look that’s been my go to for a few weeks now. Honest Ed’s is one of my favourite places in Toronto because not only does it light up the otherwise dingy intersection of Bathurst and Bloor, it’s a wonderfully wacky place to shop for nearly everything (if you haven’t been there before, I’m talking everything from baking soda to nylons to party supplies to bow-ties, you name it, they have it for cheap!).
Sadly the Toronto institution is closing in the next couple years, so we’re savouring the last strolls down this ally in todays photos. Now, onto the look! Ever since I got this Alexander Wang x H&M t-shirt dress, I’ve discovered its layering possibilities are endless and with the temperatures dropping that’s not such a bad thing. I paired the dress with this incredible crocodile print neoprene Nike x Pedro Lourenço collection jacket channeling all the sporty chic vibes. I’ve been digging this piece since I first laid eyes on it at the Nike Women’s Summit late last month and I’m really enjoying mixing it into my athletic wardrobe as well as my everyday looks. The construction of the jacket is completely immaculate and the attention to detail is as fine as it would be on a tailored blazer.
I accessorized this black on black ensemble with a vintage mint hat, an embossed studded Ela MILCK clutch, a pair of 3.1 Phillip Lim ankle boots, and a trio of glittery silver jewels.
Take a closer look through the photos below and stay tuned to see next weeks look!
