Perched high atop the eternal city of Rome, in a villa built for grandeur, luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz introduced the all-new CLA sedan to the world, with the help of pop-star Tyla, who performed a handful of her hit songs with Rome as the backdrop and the CLA as the focus. After the performance, which had the people grooving, the party continued through the night at the grand villa. In addition to Tyla, Ice Spice, Kid Super, Central Cee, actor Lucien Leon of Emily in Paris fame, Camila Cabello, Daniel Caesar, Romeo Beckham, Justine Skye and many more celebs, influencers and media gathered for their first glimpse at the new car.

The new CLA offers more space, comfort, and efficiency than before. As part of a new vehicle lineup, it comes with both all-electric and hybrid options. The CLA 250+ with EQ Technology has a projected range of up to 792 km, with fast charging providing up to 325 km in just 10 minutes. A mild hybrid version with 48-volt technology will also be available. The electric model features a two-speed transmission for improved efficiency, a next-generation lithium-ion battery designed for higher energy density, and a 40% smaller carbon footprint than its predecessor.

Running on the newly developed Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS), the CLA integrates AI from Microsoft and Google. The AI-powered MBUX Virtual Assistant uses AI for natural conversations and short-term memory functions. Apparently, it has powerful enough software and hardware that passengers can stream movies and play video games like they do at home.

The exterior features a redesigned A-shape grille with an illuminated seamless star panel that consists of 142 individually animated LED stars combined with the illuminated central star.

Inside all CLA models come with an expansive panoramic roof made from one-piece fixed glass roof that extends seamlessly from the windscreen frame to the rear.

We’ll let you know how the car actually drives and handles once it is officially released later this year.

The all-electric 2026 CLA 250+ and CLA 350 4MATIC will be available later this year.
