Just before the holidays we had the unique opportunity to check out what happens behind the scenes at their Toronto leather manufacturing facility. We walked amongst hundreds of different leathers which to this day are still supplied by Horween, looking for that perfect leather that speaks to the essence of our brand. We selected everything from the cuffs to the design of the patches to the Melton wool and the subtle embroidery, to make the Hustle jacket truly ours. We watched our jackets come together piece by piece, stitch by stitch, all the way from the lining to the embroidery, to the custom tailoring, and hand chenilled patches.
Over the course of a day we watched the care and attention our jacket received from these skilled tradesmen, almost all of which have been with Roots for over twenty years. The real secret here is that anyone can take part in the custom jacket program, by going into the Bloor Street flagship and selecting from a range of popular finishes.
