Tennessee Nintendo-Rock stalwarts The Protomen brought their thrilling live show to a sold-out crowd at Toronto’s Velvet Underground on Wednesday night. Playing one of their first proper headlining shows in the city in years the band was met with a rapturous reception. The Seven piece rock group were a flurry of energy on stage, with all members covering a lot of ground between stellar guitar riffs, keyboard solos and even a rare sighting of a keytar. While the band may have a constantly rotating cast of members, underneath all the silver face paint they were an immensely tight unit, and with their uniquely theatrical set, they made a definite good impression.
