This season, Gucci collaborated with artist Coco Capitán to create pieces for their Fall 2017 collection.
Capitán, who is most well known for her work on the cover of Drake’s album If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, says she was thrilled to work with Gucci. Her pieces with Gucci have interesting phrases on them including “Common sense is not common” and “I want to go back to believing a story.” Her focus was on creating the phrases and lettering while she left the garment creation to designer Alessandro Michele.
Speaking to Vogue Capitán said:
“The focus was on the message and not so much in the materials or platforms used to transmit it.”
Michele was such a fan of the collaboration that he even wore one of their tees for his final bow!
