Kilmanjaro are an emerging 4-piece from Toronto, lead by eccentric electronic composers Kaan Gunesberk and Ian Culley, who are both active songwriters and musicians outside of Kilmanjaro.
Culley contributed his songwriting skills to Daniel Caesar’s “Get You,” and Gunesberk vocals linger on Drake’s “Right Hand.” At the top of this year, Kilmanjaro released their debut LP A Place Unknown To All You Ever Say via NYK Records, which features the track “40 (Without Her Love),” and we at Sidewalk Hustle are excited to premiere the new video for this essential album cut.
As the band told us…
“This song is the climax point in the album. All the feelings conveyed throughout the album come to this point of realization. There’s a lot of tension in the first half of the song. But it reaches a point where you’re freed from that prison of emotion that’s been holding you for the whole album. There’s this sense of awakening.”
