American luxury jewellery brand Tiffany & Co. has officially opened its doors to the newly redesigned 8000-square-foot Yorkdale Shopping Centre store in Toronto. The relationship between the New York City-based brand and Yorkdale is significant. Tiffany & Co. was the mall’s first mono-brand luxury boutique when the original store opened in 2009. The expansive new location is more than just a shop in a mall, it’s a luxury experience. The redesigned location is visually stunning, with exquisitely curated artistic integration, and as such, has been declared its Canadian flagship.
The acclaimed architecture firm SANAA designed the store with an eye-catching façade of 32,000 glass bricks framed in polished aluminum panels reminiscent of diamonds. Inside are artworks from notable artists like Damien Hirst, Vik Muniz, and Sho Shibuya, with a statement-making custom Aggio Apollo chandelier and a custom-made light sculpture designed by architect Hugh Dutton. Tiffany & Co. is not playing around.
The store features all the hot pieces of fine jewelry you covet from the HardWear by Tiffany, the T by Tiffany, Lock by Tiffany, and Knot by Tiffany; it’s all there. The Tiffany High Jewelry space and Jean Schlumberger gallery showcase and house the jeweller’s most unique and notable creations.
The new Tiffany & Co. store is now open inside the Yorkdale Shopping Centre in Toronto.
