Dries Van Noten bid farewell to his namesake label in June 2024, presenting his 150th and final collection at Paris Fashion Week. Just months later, longtime in-house designer Julian Klausner was named his successor. Now, the Antwerp-born creative lifts the veil and steps into the spotlight with his Fall/Winter 2025 collection debuted at the iconic Palais Garnier in Paris.
The historic venue set the perfect stage for Klausner’s vision—a tribute to Van Noten’s legacy with a bold new direction. Guests ascended marble staircases, surrounded by gilded chandeliers and intricate 17th-century murals, setting the tone for an evening of artistry and transformation.
The show opened with a floor-length wool coat featuring exposed, dangling stitches, followed by structured outerwear, capes, and silk tops in shadowy hues. Van Noten’s signature bold prints were reinterpreted in muted stripes, while sleek tailoring was cinched with refined leather belts. Statement coats and layered mini skirts played with mixed prints, proving Klausner’s ability to honor the past while pushing forward. Gold-trimmed knitwear shimmered like newfound treasure, transitioning into a deep burnt orange. Vibrant fuchsia, green, blue, and purple later infused the collection, enveloping draped silk gowns, skin-tight suits, and tasseled jackets with an almost ancient energy.
As Klausner took his final bow, the audience erupted in applause—a clear sign of his triumphant debut. His journey at Dries Van Noten has begun, balancing heritage with a bold, modern vision.
