If you couldn’t get your hands on a pair of the super-limited-edition Nike Mag sneakers released earlier this year (and let’s be real, you couldn’t – only 89 pairs were made), then have no fear because self-lacing sneakers are coming your way soon at a (slightly) more affordable price tag.
While the Mags—made famous by Marty McFly in Back To The Future—were auctioned off for exorbitant prices all in the name of a good cause (Parkinson’s research), the forthcoming Hyperadapt 1.0 will set you back $720 USD. The sneaker features a nylon lacing system that contracts and loosens with the touch of a button: the acronym “E.A.R.L.” printed on the tongue stands for Electro Adaptive Reactive Lacing. The midsole is also said to light up once the E.A.R.L system is activated.
The shoes will come in Deep Black, Crisp White and Smooth Grey colourways and will release on December 1.
