Another new voice has emerged from the musical hotbed that is Toronto in the form of 19-year-old MADDEE. No slouch to the game she’s performed at Canadian Music Week, the Art Gallery of Ontario, NXNE, Bestival Toronto, and been tapped by Red Bull as one of their newest artists in the Red Bull Sound Select program. With all this momentum the young singer has officially released her new single “Lost.”
Produced by Birthday Boy and Marlon James, this effortlessly laid-back alt-pop gem, is am infectiously catchy tune. There is something in MADDEE’s soulful vocals that pulls you in and leaves you wanting more, which is good because “Lost” is the first of two singles to drop leading up to her first solo EP.
