Earlier this week Rockport opened their brand new snazzy location at the Toronto Eaton Centre. Relocating to the south end of the mall after many years in a different location, the store launches into fall with a new mind set, targeting a younger, hipper demographic of customers.
They still make all the shoes your mom and dad would wear, but we were surprised to see a number of pairs that we wouldn’t feel nerdy wearing at all. Combat boots with snappy silver and brass accents are accented with a subtle orange sliver in the heel while lace ups were shown in a flashy cobalt suede, perfect for mid season.
For women, kitten heels in a dusty rose are perfect for everyday at the office, mixed suede and leather boots are perfectly practical for winter, while a take on the penny loafer and a leopard wedge will have you comfortably strutting all weekend. Indeed this isn’t the Rockport we remember, and we kind of like it!
