Fix yourself a sandwich, drop some ice in your lemonade, and pack a nap sack because this weekend kicks off Arts & Craft’s 4th annual Field Trip music & arts festival.
And for the record, Toronto, you looked fantastic.
Couldn’t ask for bluer skies or better vibes as we kicked off day one, with mother nature bringing the heat and local electro-rockers Brave Shores bringing the cool dance vibes. Bully took things up a notch with their thrashed up southern rock, proving why they are being championed as the next big thing out of Nashville. Santigold might have seemed like a weird fit to some, but she proved that even in the late afternoon, field trippers were more than okay with getting down. Pete and Leah were up to their usual and always entertaining antic, and Jazz Cartier one again proved why he’s the prince of Toronto.
But the evening peaked with Kevin Drew introducing the National. Toronto came alive while Matt Berninger swooned and ran about stage like a man possessed.
Day one was everything we could have asked for, well, besides the inevitable tan lines and full body sun burn. Check out our photos below and follow us on SnapChat, Twitter, and Instagram (username for all SidewalkHustle) for a closer look on Day two.
