What I Wore: Streets of Chicago

Chicago Street Style-12

There a few cities in the world I have come to adore more over the years than Chicago. Perhaps it’s the similarities it shares between Toronto and New York, or perhaps it’s availability of tacos and donuts in nearly every neighborhood. We visited the city this past weekend to attend Pitchfork Music Festival, which is my favourite North American festival, quick plug, check out our coverage from Day 1, 2, & 3 now.

We always manage to squeeze in a few days in the city aside from the festival each year, and this year we mainly hung out in Wicker Park, where our epic Airbnb was located. While strolling pre-festival one morning, we decided to take the alley instead of the street on our way to Dove’s Luncheonette and decided to take a few snaps of my look. I loved the cobblestone streets in this ally and the way the yellow metro bridge weaves through the neighborhoods of the city.

I’m wearing a swirly pastel dress from COS I picked up in Berlin (I’m super excited this brand will be making its way to Canada next year). I layered on an acid wash jean vest from Gap to break up the pattern, and matched it with my Wild Moon stone necklace, and a woven Coach bag. I’m also wearing a pair of woven leather flatforms from Coach which have quickly become my go-to festival shoes when the weather isn’t stormy.

Take a closer look at the details of my Chitown outfit below now as well as some photos of our Airbnb in Wicker Park.

Also, check out my street style photos from the festival here.
