Vancouver act Emily Rowed has folk roots but has grown into her own pop voice. The 604 Records signee was featured on Tiesto’s track “Say Something“ and now she’s set to release the debut single from her upcoming debut EP, titled Electric Heart.
Today, Rowed is releasing her new single “Arrows” and we here at Sidewalk Hustle are excited to premiere the video to match. Directed by Stephano Barberis, the video was filmed in Joshua Tree and features the artist herself dancing around the desert amongst a haze of purple smoke. As Emily Rowed explained to us…
“Arrows” is an anthem for wanderlust, it’s about dancing in your own direction. It was written as a ballad on piano between classes at university then transformed at 604 Records. “Arrows” grew into a celebratory, freedom song that’s perfect fuel for free spirits, adventurers, and daydreamers ready to run.
The video tells the story of a woman walking away from an old life, running into the unknown, then dancing into her new life.’
