Although last week seems like ages ago at this point, what with everyone taking ill from too much TIFFing, we really wanted to share our thoughts about the inaugural year of Festival Music House with you.
It wasn’t the entirely Canadian line up spread over three days, or the crowd of industry which united filmmakers with great Canadian music to put in their upcoming films, it was the small venue that dazzled us the most.
Having seen many of the bands even three and four times before the three day line up, it was particularly amazing to see bands that usually pack out stadium size venues humble out and play to a crowd of maybe 200-ish people. Highlights for us included Born Ruffians, Basia Bulat, and Tokyo Police Club, among the headliners City And Colour, Gord Downie, and Stars who all fall into that stadium category.
Take a look at our photos from last week below.
