About a year ago we got the first glimpses of the dramatically innovative new Reebok ZigTech shoes with their crazy zig-zag shaped soles. Since that initial preview, Sidewalk Hustle’s has had the opportunity to actually try out the Reebok ZigTech footwear as well as the ZigTech apparel line. Now, I’m not a regular athlete, but on occasion I’m known to take late night jaunts around the neighborhood, so I fully appreciate the thought that’s gone into the ZigTech gear.
Both the shoes and athletic gear are technically and visually innovative, designed to disperse the body’s weight throughout the extremely flexible lightweight foam zig-zag sole of the shoe, while the apparel whisks moisture away from the body. From what I understand, the impact of the heel striking the ground is absorbed and redistributed along the length of the shoe to help propel the body forward with each step. The clothing is designed using Celliant technology, clinically proven to enhance oxygen levels in the body, which is how the moisture is whisked away from the body. Crazy huh?
I myself like to rock the gear my favourite pro athletes wear, so if it’s good enough for Sidney Crosby, Alexander Ovechkin, David Ortiz, and John Wall, it’s great for me and makes me feel cool!
The apparel will be available at Sport Chek locations across Canada in March.
