Our good friends over at 3.1 Philip Lim have released a short film in honour of their Men’s Spring 2013 collection, shot by celebrated fashion photographer Jacob Sutton. It features the undiscovered art of “Tricking,” which is a combination of gymnastics, martial arts, and b-boying with the martial arts component of discipline from taekwondo, capoeira and wushu. The short showcases the Spring 2013 Men’s collection while in flight, on real life battling ‘Trickers’ Jason Mello and Micah Karns. Unsurprisingly, the collection takes its inspiration from Barroco and Nipo-Brasileiro sub-cultures, while interpreting traditional Baroque, with a youthful perspective on luxury and artisanal value. Basically, a lot of flowing pieces with strong lines, fun textures and refined yet playful elegance. Watch below.
