Berlin Fashion Week, or Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin as they prefer us to call it, is a hustle. Like most other fashion weeks in the world, the venues and parties are spread throughout the city, with one central runway location at Brandenberg Gate, making it tough to cover a lot of ground. We managed to hit up a few pretty cool shows and parties throughout the week between hanging in the cities many museums and hunting down the best shops and food Berlin had to offer.
I captured one of my looks worn to the Irene Luft spring summer 2016 presentation entitled ‘Hollow’ at Brandenberg Gate. It seemed most people dressed in monochromatic nudes, black, and darker shades with colour being reserved for other occasions. This made it easy to stand out in my see through button down, perforated yellow skirt, and statement making oil slicked handbag from J. Crew. I layered on a Moschino jacket a flashy Topshop necklace and a pair of Joe Fresh heels (which inevitably got ruined in the cobble stoned streets).
Take a closer look at my outfit below now and stay tuned for style posts from the streets of Berlin.
