I spent last week in sunny California, grasping every ounce of warm weather I cold get, only to return to snow :(. Staying close to Venice Beach, I felt inspired by Erin Kleinberg’s spring summer 2015 lookbook we posted a week ago, and decided what better way to take to the beach, than dressed head to toe in a few of my favourite pieces from the collection.
After a nice stroll along weird and wonderful Venice Beach, I quickly climbed up on to this turquoise lifeguard stand for a nice elevated view of the magical waves crashing into the shore.
Because everyone was all about black and neutral layers back at home, I choose this totally gorge silk dress which featured one of the rad prints Kleinberg collaborated on with Lena Dunham for the spring summer 2015 collection. I’m also wearing a mesh jacket from the collection, which amazingly combines luxury with a sportswear edge through fabrics like cotton chambray, mesh, and neoprene. I paired it with a couple necklaces from Toronto’s own Wild Moon and New York’s Pamela Love, an electric orange pony hair clutch from Asos, and a pair of Burgundy Moscot shades.
As you can tell, I was kind of torn between seasons so I wore my Miista heels in a few shots and eventually decided to get the sand between my toes. Even though it’s basically the dead of winter, I can hardly wait for summer to come, if only so I can wear these Erin Kleinberg pieces again.
