This week, Samsung finally introduced us to the latest editions of their Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones. The new models are upgraded versions of last years S6 and S6 Edge, with adjustments and editions to make them even better than before.
New additions include waterproof engineering, allowing the phone to be submerged in water for up to 30 minutes with no damage and an expandable microSD card storage that lets you add up to an extra 200GB, meaning you’ll always have more than enough room for your selfies. They’ve also reduced the camera from 16 megapixels to 12, however, this paired with the f/1.7 aperture means the camera allows more light into your pictures. Other additions include a new Always-On screen feature which keeps the time and calendar on the lockscreen, only shutting off when you store your phone in your pocket, ensuring you’ll never miss another event. Alongside this, the phones feature fast and wireless charging features, with the S7’s 3,000mAh and the Edge’s 3,6000mAh batteries meaning you’ll have use of your phone all day without needing to charge.
The drop is expected internationally on March 11th, with prices similar to last years models first release.
