In no particular order we continue the countdown to Osheaga Festival in Montreal with a video from New York/Philly natives The Walkmen.
After five studio albums the band decided to record 13 songs over a five day period with Chris Zane and John Congleton for a new album called Lisbon (love the album artwork above!) which is due out via Fat Possum on September 14th. Although some 28 songs ended up being produced during the five day stint, it is still uncertain as to how many tracks will appear on the new album, but we’ll keep you posted on the listing as it becomes available closer to the release.
Meanwhile, they have already performed it once live and are set to continue touring the new album at Lollapalooza, Reading and Leeds Festivals and hopefully we’ll hear a few tracks when they play Osheaga at the end of next month!
