It has been a serious minute since I’ve heard anything about Crystal Castle. So when I saw that they were playing the Scène Verte/Green Stage at this years Osheaga I knew I had to see them, if for only but a minute. Taking the stage just before fellow Torontonian electro-rock band MSTRKFT, Crystal Castles brought an energy appropriate to the amount of people squished around the stage. Dropping bangers from both of their self-titled albums, Crystal Castles ran through their 50 minute set on high-octane overcharge. It was dope!
