With generations between them, Iris Apfel and Tavi Gevinson have been casted in the latest ad campaign from New York jewellery designer Alexi Bittar. The on-trend ads feature ageless beauty, which is something we’re glad to see in a youth-obesssed industry, this campaign follows Joni Mitchell for Saint Laurent and the much talked about Celine campaign for spring starring American novelist Joan Didion. Bittar plays both sides in his ad campaign which stars a 93-year-old eccentric socialite Iris Apfel and the 18-year-old Tavi Gevinson who is the editor Rookie Magazine and a Broadway star.
Shot by Terry Tsiolis and styled by Arianne Phillips, the ads are fresh, touching a wide age genre, thus making their product more widely received and salable. That’s the first look at the campaign above, but stay tune for more when the full editorial campaign which launches next month.
