A Parisian atmosphere, honey-chamomile cocktails, beautiful makeup and fragrances from Drew Barrymore…what more could a girl ask for?
Even before Flower Beauty was available in Canada, I stocked up on it on my yearly trips to Florida. The collection that was first released in Walmart across the US was fresh and modern, making me an instant and loyal fan of the product line. Once I tried these affordable products, I went back and stocked up on more and included many of them in my professional makeup kit. I really can’t say enough good things about how amazingly well-made these products are for the price.
Now back to this lovely evening with Ms. Barrymore. Hosted at Colette Grand Café, I walked in to exquisite floral-lined tables filled with cosmetics and fragrances. I was given the opportunity to test out all the products while we waited for the guest of honour to arrive. A big Drew Barrymore fan for most of my life, seeing her in person was exciting, and listening to her speak so passionately about the Flower Beauty collection was truly inspiring. The company began with the colour cosmetics line, or the “nucleus of the brand”, as Drew called it, and has branched out to include a meaningful collection of fragrances.
She described the fragrances as made for the “everyday woman juggling, love, friends, family, work and life.” The three fragrances (Cherished, Radiant, Sultry) are available in three sizes and smell amazing.
As if the night couldn’t get any better, we were then invited for a photo opp with Drew. I chatted briefly with her about her fondness for filming Tip Tuesdays on the Flower Beauty website, and she noted the series will be returning in January.
The entire collection, including brushes, cosmetics, gift sets, and fragrances can be purchased at your local Walmart! That’s right I said Walmart!
