When it comes to customer centric perks there are few companies that do it better than Amex. As Amex fans, the Sidewalk Hustle team had the amazing opportunity to reap the benefits of their Fans With Benefits program by attending the Maroon 5 with Kelly Clarkson show at Toronto’s Molson Amphitheatre to close out the summer.
What is Fans with Benefits? Amex recently launched the bi-weekly Facebook contest, which was designed to give their Facebook fans a taste of what it’s like to be an Amex Cardmember, and to thank fans for being part of their community. To celebrate the launch of Fans With Benefits, Amex gave away 25 pairs of tickets to the Maroon 5 with Kelly Clarkson show, which included priority lane access, as well as access to a special pre party.
Along with the 25 winners and their guests, we were given access to the priority entrance and to a pre party in the Amex lounge where we were greeted with delicious food and cold beverages. You could tell that everyone was having a great time as we all mingled and talked about how we all ended up here. Following this, the Amex team gave away some awesome prizes, including headphones and iPad’s. To top all this off, once the show started we all left the Amex lounge and proceeded to our incredible box seats, in the 200 level, dead centre. With our own server and the cleanest view in the venue, we rocked out to Kelly Clarkson and Maroon 5. The experience was top quality and we had a ball rocking out to some fun pop music that we might have otherwise overlooked or missed.
This pre party experience did a great job reminding us that Amex is more than just a credit card, it is a cultural curator that just happens to offer premium service that is customer focused. Whether it is live streaming some of the biggest concerts from around the world right into your living room with the Unstaged program, to providing exclusive access to Fashion Week events, sporting events and more. We recently had the opportunity to watch the live stream of the Kings of Leon concert while enjoying a delicious dinner in the middle of a famous Toronto recording studio. It was a surreal experience, and for someone who has no actual musical talent, a once in a lifetime opportunity to play around inside a recording studio. Amex certainly has taken the steps to make their Cardmembers feel like more than just a customer, but part of a broader community. It’s definitely a great time to be a consumer.
