In 1990, Reebok released one of their most timeless running designs: the Ventilator. The sneaker incorporated Hexalite technology which provided greater comfort and better shock absorption, it was the perfect shoe for the faster, lighter runner. Twenty-five years later the shoe is a classic. Still as light as it ever was but now worn for street fashion instead of road running. As Reebok celebrates 25 years of the Ventilator in 2015, three of the original colourways will return in their true form over the next few months: stitch for stitch and perfectly colour matched for authenticity.
The Reebok Classic Ventilator OG will be available starting January on Reebok.ca and select global retailers.
Reebok Classic is bringing the Ventilator back in a big way for 2015, and it all begins with the return of the original pink and lime accented colorway. The Ventilator’s look that’s as bold now as it was when the ahead-of-its-time running shoe debuted in 1990 features a white mesh base with grey microsuede overlays and speckled paneling at the toe and heel. They’re then taken up a notch further with the eye-catching neon lime and pink hits throughout. The iconic Ventilator drops January 17th at select Reebok Classic retailers, including Sneaker Politics.
