No summer would be complete without a little road trip and last weekend we ventured down to Montreal in a Honda HR-V for our favourite Canadian music festival, Osheaga. After loading up the car (nearly to its breaking point with four people) we headed out onto the road for the gorgeous drive into Montreal. We were glad for the beautiful weather during the six hour drive and of course the ability to connect our Osheaga Playlist to the car via bluetooth.
Once we made it to Montreal we really enjoyed having a set of wheels to get us from neighbourhood to neighbourhood when not at the festival. We were able to see some incredible places we would never have been able to take pubic transportation to including Mont Royal Lookout and Upper Westmount which provided gorgeous views of the city, as well as have many memorable meals at some of the city’s finest restaurants. We also visited Plateau, Mile End, Atwater Village, and Old Port in the span of just a couple days in addition to all the festival madness.
Definite food-related highlights of the weekend, aside from all the festival poutine, were Fairmont Bagel, which is an institution in the city, as well as Maison Publique, Cafe Plume, Beautys Luncheonette, Majestique, and Balsam Inn.
We headed out of the city feeling happily full of great music and amazing food with the windows and sunroof open in our HR-V.
