Fashion icon and outspoken feminist Emma Watson is next month’s PORTER Magazine cover star for their issue celebrating 100 Incredible Women.
It sounds like a ridiculous thing to say, but I’m very interested in truth, in finding ways to be messy and unsure and flawed and incredible and great and my fullest self, all wrapped into one.
In the interview, she speaks about being her most authentic self and finding that confidence at age 25. She spent most of her life figuring out the identity and motivations of Hermione Granger, her character in the Harry Potter films. Now, she’s focusing on herself and what she likes. Watson connects her love of style and fashion with how it makes her feel rather than how good she might look. As for her priorities now, the UN Women Goodwill Ambassador said “Moving forward, I’m prioritizing just feeling awesome.”
