Toronto-born rapper Drake has unveiled a new Prada-designed wardrobe for his recent stops in Australia and New Zealand as part of his ongoing The Boy Meets World tour.
Prada worked with Drake’s stylist Mellany Sanchez to create pieces that embody the rapper’s simple yet cool style, all with a signature Prada edge. Drake has been a longtime fan of the brand having worn their pieces both on and off stage in the past, however this is the first time he has worked directly with the famed fashion house.
Speaking to Vogue Sanchez said:
“We’ve really been appreciating Drake’s relationship to the sportswear history of the house and wanted to create something that had that same spirit but was modern. Prada and Drake embracing each other is I think expressive of how dynamic they both are.”
The pieces include nylon flight suits, track pants and tees with a simple palette of red, white, black, grey and silver. Their streamlined silhouettes are ideal for the stage, being both laid back and cool, just like the rapper himself.
