The late David Bowie’s massive art collection is up for grabs at an upcoming Sotheby’s auction this month on November 10 and 11. Bits of the collection have made a transcontinental tour throughout the last few months to promote the highly anticipated sale. All items are now settled and on full display at Sotheby’s in London. More than 250 pieces made by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Marcel Duchamp, Henry Moore, Damien Hirst, Henry Moore, and more. Bowie’s Basquiat “Air Power” is expected to fetch $2.5-$3.5 million USD alone.
The BBC headed over to the auction house to have a gander at the display, and even had a brief chat with Bowie’s personal art advisor, Kate Chertavian, who guided Bowie in purchasing pieces for his extensive collection. Take a peak into his collection in the BBC clip below.
