All you long time Sidewalk Hustle readers know how much we love Cut Copy, so it was with great joy and enthusiasm that present to you Ben Browning’s “I Can’t Say” single and video. Browning is the bassist for Australian band Cut Copy, and he will be releasing his solo EP, Lover Motion, via the band’s own Cutters label on March 19.
The EP, which Browning began work on prior to the release of Zonoscope, features synth work from Cut Copy frontman Dan Whitford, as well as production by Architecture in Helsinki members Gus Franklin and Haima Marriott. You can definitely hear the Cut Copy influence in the song. This is not a bad thing.
The video for the single was directed by Krozm and has Browning spending time at the ocean, engaging in very esoteric conversation, reading, drinking and eating grapes. Enjoy.
