The cool events continue to role out at Mountain Dew’s Queen West Underground skate park and next week they’re set to change the game with a huge beatbox battle featuring the human beatbox himself, Scott Jackson. Taking place on April 7th, eight of the top beatboxers including Andre Gibson, Beatspawn, Careless, and more will battle it out to score a title and a $200 cash prize. Battlers will be judged by Heat, Ballistic, and more based on their technical skill, creativity, musicallity and of course their showmanship.
In addition to the battle, the event will also include showcases by Spittz (Loopstation Beatbox), Hachey The Mouthpeace, and of course Scott Jackson.
The best part? It’s a totally free, all ages event, so make sure you get down there and watch the incredible mastery of what a beatboxers can do. You won’t want to miss these dudes dropping studio quality beats with just their mouths. This ish is crazy.
In addition to the beatbox battle Scott Jackson will also pass on some tips and tricks to up-and-comers in a free workshop so if you’ve ever dreamed of becoming the next human instrument you won’t want to miss this event.
