While everyone was scrambling to break the news of H&M’s new collaboration on their respective blogs and twitter feeds this morning, we were sitting back, letting it all sink in.
The jig is up, the wonderfully genius Alber Elbaz and Lucas Ossendrijver of Lanvin will releasing a most fabulous (we assume) designer diffusion line for the Swedish clothing mob (aka H&M) this fall.
We’re very excited for the images of the collection to start circulating and cannot wait till November 20th when the collection is set to drop.
We remember back in our teens we would scramble through Barney’s Warehouse sale in New York each year to see what damaged Lanvin we could get our hands on for barely affordable prices, so naturally we were thrilled when we heard they would be doing a collection for H&M in which we no longer have to spend time rationalizing.
Check out press release, two teaser videos, as well as an interview with Elbaz below.
H&M is proud to announce that its next designer collaboration will be with Lanvin, one of the most influential brands of the 21st century. Designed by Lanvin’s artistic director Alber Elbaz, and menswear designer Lucas Ossendrijver, the collection will go on sale on November23 in around 200 H&M stores worldwide. The collection of both womenswear and menswear will be revealed to the world on November 2, just three weeks before the clothes hit the store, making the launch of Lanvin for H&M among the most anticipated fashion events of the year.
