Kygo and Selena Gomez have released their highly anticipated track “It Ain’t Me” after teasing the track for weeks across social media.
The track is a melancholic affair of Gomez singing about the effects of a relationship ruined by alcoholism. Kygo’s production skills shine through by reimagining his signature snaps and claps peppered over a sweeping chorus. While Kygo is the master of the overwrought tropical house genre taking over radio at the moment, “It Ain’t Me” is a surprisingly fresh pop track, and is perhaps Gomez’s best vocal effort to date.
