Stephanie Doucette and Annebet Duvall of Doucette Duvall met in 2003 as neighbors in New York’s Little Italy. Talking together on their Mulberry Street fire escapes on day, they decided they needed to fill a few voids in their respective wardrobes where coats and dresses should be, and in 2005, Doucette Duvall was born.
Their designs are manufactured in New York’s garment district and are inspired by the elegance and wit of their mothers and grandmothers. Each collection has a constant “little green dress” to remind consumers of the commitment Doucette Duvall has to the environment. A portion of the proceeds from the dress go to Build it Green, a non-profit that supports low cost salvage surplus building materials. How’s that for fashionably responsible!?
