After seeing these lovely west coast fellas last Saturday at Canadian Music Festival, Yukon Blonde has become fast friends with us and our various Apple products.
Signed to Toronto label Nevado Records, Yukon Blonde draws from 60’s influenced harmonies, simple rocking hooks, and their overall love of nostalgic music, to produce a sound that is as fresh on their album as it is live. They’ve often been compared to The Band, Grizzly Bear, and The Byrds, and their latest album which just dropped last month was produced by none other than Shawn Cole.
With a bunch of tours under their belts, these guys are no strangers to the big leagues, performing along side Ladyhawk, The Constantines, Jon-Rae Fletcher, Magnolia Electric Co, Black Mountain, and Women under their old name, AlphaBaby. They’re currently playing SXSW to kick off their tour promoting the new self-titled album which is just darn stellar if you ask us!
