UK synthpop trio Years & Years shared their music video for “Foundation,” the lead track off their forthcoming debut Communion, out July 10th via Interscope. They’ve always been creative with their videos but this one gets pretty spooky. “Foundation” is the shortest track on the album so in some ways this feels like a prequel to something else. Maybe the first in a set of themed videos?
Channeling some serious occult, witchy vibes, lead singer Olly Alexander resurrects during his wake. Surrounded by mourning friends, Olly seems to take on the role of coven leader, supported by bandmates Emre Turkmen and Mikey Goldsworthy. Watch “Foundation” above.
