Brooklyn psychedelic folk rockers Woods have been garnering a lot of hype for the past year or so along with a bunch of other lo-fi fuzzy indie artists. Unfortunately I missed the in-store Woods did at Soundscapes this past Summer to promote their new album Songs of Shame but luckily they’ll be back in town this Spring touring with Woodist label-mate Real Estate (who are also awesome)!
The album rocked many best-of-2009 lists last year (Pitchfork gave it a solid rating of 8.3, just incase you were wondering) so it’s definitely worth a listen. They’ll be kicking off their Spring tour in March hitting up Toronto’s Horseshoe Tavern on March 14th.
