It’s been a while since we’ve seen Brooklyn folk rockers Woods, about three years or so to be exact, so naturally we had the catch them at Pitchfork Music Festival after we fell in love with their new, more vocally prominent album Bend Beyond. Like all the artists at the festival Bend Beyond was of course Pitchfork-approved Best New Music at the time it came out, and for us it was the album that really solidified our love for these bearded gentlemen.
They played the sunny “Cali in a Cup,” “It Aint Easy,” and of course “Bend Beyond” in addition to 2013’s fresh new tracks “Be All Be Easy” and “God’s Children;” perfect sun-drenched tunes to sip Goose Island to.
