What I Wore: Spring Biker Prim

What I Wore

Toronto is finally starting to warm up, with the odd spot of rain here and there, so I haven’t quite kicked the leather jacket for my denim just yet. With the odd beautiful day here and there I find myself walking and biking everywhere, really enjoying these perfect temperatures before Toronto gets all humid. If it’s one thing that essential to walking, it’s a really great shoe, comfortable shoe, so I went to the experts down at Heel Boy’s new Distillery District location to find an amazing pair of flats I can walk around all summer in, and still look stylish.

After much humming and hawing I finally decided on this pair of Matt Bernson leather and canvas Cava ankle flats with some help and support from the Heel Boy staff. I love the neat espadrille detail on the heel of the shoe, the subtle branding on the inside leather portion of the shoe, not to mention how comfortable they are. I paired these flats with an outfit that’s a little bit edgy while still being prim.

Anchoring the look I’m wearing a Free People New Romantics black and white dress that’s ultra wearble with interesting layering and levels on both sides which I belted with a purple leather Life With Bird belt I got in Australia. I paired the dress with my new favourite Rudsak moto jacket which is midnight blue and black super soft leather and my go-to Blackbird High Priestess necklace. My bag is vintage, my sunglasses are by Vestal, my watch is Daniel Wellington, and my lavender lip is Lime Crime!

Take a look through some detail shots of my look below.
