We recently spent some time cruising around the eternal City of Love, Paris, as we took Sidewalk Hustle on a mini European tour. While across the pond, we made sure to take in the sites, the history, the art, and all that never-ending culture. As luck would have it, while we were there, we had the opportunity to experience the worst heat wave in almost 70 years. Because the French give zero fucks, and everyone is so incredibly cool, no one has an air conditioner, and they will still rock jeans. Keeping that in mind we made the streets of Paris sizzle, in this outfit.
Starting from the top is the just released, limited edition, Pigalle x NikeLab 2015 collabo snapback, which we picked up thanks to the homies over at NikeLab P75 in the Marais. Below that, and protecting the eyes from that relentless sun were a pair of “retired” Eisen Sun sunglasses from Moscot in the perennial classic Tortoise and gold colourway. These round-framed glasses are so badass, that you can’t help but feel like a G’d up John Lennon or an actually cool Dr. Loveless from Wild Wild West.
The trippy as funk button-up, known as the Artosport short sleeve, comes courtesy of American streetwear label L.R.G. and had people squinting and staring. This came in handy while we toured the Centre Pompidou and Palais de Tokyo, drawing more attention than the contemporary exhibits. Wanting to make sure that we paid some homage to the city we were in, the jeans were an incredible pair of A.P.C. denim, which were cut in a chino style. These jeans were an incredible discovery, instantly making these pants the go to for Paris. On the feet, were the much hyped, instant classic adidas Original Yeezy Boost 350’s. These head-turning sneakers were the perfect shoes for stomping through the European cobblestone streets.
Even though it was the hottest day since 1947, we managed to keep it cool with our Paris approved look. Need to know what to wear during your next heat wave? See the full look below.
