What I Wore: Cozy Alpaca Indoors

Today I’m excited to share our first style feature of the new year. Centering on what I generally wear under my coat, this look is all about coziness and staying warm, while keeping style top of mind. I’ve been testing out this look over the holidays, as wearing sleeveless in the winter months is not the easiest thing to pull off, but I’m happy to report, I’ve finally perfected it.

First off, I owe this sleeveless break through to the lovely Mary Young, a Toronto loungewear designer who created the line of alpaca knitwear for the holiday season following her ongoing super sexy lingerie line. I’m wearing the Alexis sweater which is quite long at the back, nearly reaching the end of my skirt. It’s so wonderfully warm and cozy, yet doesn’t stifle you, due of course to the lack of sleeves.

I paired this gorgeous sweater with a knit skirt from Mendocino. I picked it because the pattern was so crazy; plaid inside a dizzying geometric! I thought I’d take one step further with a pair of polka dot tights from Joe Fresh, and a simple pair of suede Miista boots to round things down.

I accessories almost completely with Toronto pride wearing a stack of brass bangles Michelle Ross, a necklaces from Wild Moon, another necklace from Nikki & Lola, and finally my beloved Deadly Ponies bag from the New Zealand based brand.

Take a closer look at my outfit below and stay tuned for more style feature just like this, weekly on Sidewalk Hustle.
