What I Wore: CMJ Music Marathon 2012

I’ve been running around for the last six days in Manhattan and Brooklyn alike from show to show at the CMJ Music Marathon, and as someone who love music and fashion equally, I couldn’t just throw on anything to party in, because let’s be honest here, you gotta look the part. Throughout the festival I mostly slugged around in my latest crop of vintage silk button-downs found at 69 Vintage’s One Night Stand in Toronto last week, paired with comfortable heels (to get a better view in the crowd), and most importantly a great jacket.

I only had a quick moment to snap some photos mid-way through the festival, and in these photos I’m rocking my favourite deadstock wool Pendleton coat, which I pretty much lived in through the whole festival in addition to my vintage fashion jeans found at What Goes Around Comes Around Williamsburg pop-up shop in Brooklyn some months ago. I threw on an embroidered vintage silk tee and layered my mothers necklace over top and added some vintage bohemian earrings.

I thought I would try to hide the bags under my eyes (and my hangover) with this Holt Renfrew wool hat and my Super Lucia shades, and had to wear comfortable shoes that still had a pop of metallic, so I naturally gravitated towards my brand new Miista Franca’s and hit the ground running. As usual I have my Deadly Ponies Mr. Bone Mailman bag because it fits my cameras and everything important I need for a night of running around.

Take a look at some of the detail shots below of my outfit from CMJ.
