If you’re a hardcore wrestling fan, you’ll love Wavves’ new music video for “Way Too Much.” The video was actually shot at an Underground Wrestling Event, depicting the more bloody, violent side of the sport. Frontman Nathan Williams spoke to Rolling Stone about his passion for wrestling.
I have wrestling parties at my house every Monday and Thursday for Raw and SmackDown; we’ll barbecue and watch. I’ve been a fan for 20 years now – but the UEW event, it was crazy. They had a baseball bat with duct tape wrapped around it, and thumbtacks stuck in there, and they were hitting each other in the head with it. They were telling you seconds before, ‘Get the fuck out of the way, because someone’s about to be tossed through all of the chairs you were just sitting in.’ And then when you’d set your chair back up again, there’d be a bloody handprint on it.
