Waris Ahluwalia has had roles in Wes Anderson films, has modeled in major campaigns and is a fixture at parties and events around the world, from Art Basel to Paris Fashion Week. His latest endeavor is a collaboration with French fashion label The Kooples to create a menswear collection that was both inspired and designed by him.

The collection, which is available online now and will be hitting stores soon, stems from Ahluwalia’s stories of travel and his experiences meeting craftspeople around the world.

Speaking to Vogue, Ahluwalia says:

“I wanted to add that sense of ease and sense of flow to the pieces, I looked at rock ’n’ roll as a way of life: freedom, borderless. It doesn’t have to be black jeans and T-shirts. It can be prints. It can be color.”
