WANT Les Essentiels De La Vie gives us its Fall/Winter 2015 women’s collection, and it is one that is inspired by and celebrates the modern woman. The goal with this collection is to honour today’s woman by creating a collection that is traditional while also encourages exploration of things to come.
One of the most important things to co-founders Byron and Dexter Peart was that this collection allowed for hands-free simplicity to support the on-the-go woman, and as such it is full of backpacks and cross-body bags that you can put on and not have to worry about.
The collection introduces new styles such as the Mini Piper, a compact take on their popular Piper backpack, the Portela, a sleek yet spacious wallet, and the Lenoir, a luxurious pair of fur gloves which are perfect for the upcoming winter season. It also features the new leather Logan and Strauss shoulder totes, which are available in a multitude of colours and are reversible to reveal a playful metallic side. Of course, there are also some classics featured, such as the cross-body City bag and the edgy Demiranda, which is updated with matte and metallic leathers as well as rich fabrics and textured finishes.
The leathers used throughout the collection all feature warm, saturated earth tones of spiced orange, burnt umber and cocoon, which are then contrasted against fabrics that include rose gold metallic and rich boucle in almond and carbon.
Every piece in the collection provides versatility and ease as they are able to seamlessly transform from day-to-night, formal-to-casual, and work-to-weekend. With leather accessories such as the Arlanda, Columbo, and the new Madeline glove add a stylish flair to any outfit, while fall’s Liberty Print, Aurora, features splashes of jewel tones making the collections interiors feel even more luxurious.
