We last heard from Toronto darkgaze act Vallens last fall when they released their dreamy video for “Tennessee Haze” and now we have another taste of their upcoming debut album Consent. Titled “Devour,” the track was written during a very personal time of song-writer Robyn Phillips’ life. As she explained to us…
The song is obviously a sad song. It’s about being in a relationship both romantic and friendships, when you are grieving – and how that can effect it. It’s basically about how hard it was to reach out to people or let anyone in when my dad died.
