On Sunday September 7th, Toronto’s Echo Beach gets turnt up when A$AP Mob (A$AP Rocky + A$AP Ferg), DJ Carnage, Dzeko & Torres, and Joe Ghost take over. This incredible line up of hip hop stars and EDM bruisers comes courtesy of 2014 edition of the Toronto Frosh Festival. The day-long event manages to merge two different musical genres together almost seamlessly, moving from EDM to hip hop.
The day starts out with an EDM dance party featuring music from quick rising star Joe Ghost, and Tiesto’s favourite Canadian duo Dzeko & Torres, before shifting gears and delving into a full on hip hop concert. The bridge in this genre-shifting equation comes in the form of Carnage, who delves somewhere in the between EDM and hip hop. From Carnage the party shifts to absolute mayhem when A$AP Rocky and A$AP Ferg close out the night. This will be the first time A$AP Rocky and A$AP Ferg perform a whole set together in Toronto, bringing that Harlem rap to the 6ix. All I can say is this is definitely a festival experience you won’t want to miss. They certainly didn’t have music events like this when we went to school.
Don’t miss this one of the best festivals of the summer, and probably last of the year you can enjoy outside. Buy your tickets now, here!
